"Lucy is family," Mathias answers with a laugh, thinking of all the reasons that a relationship between them would never work. "And as far as she's concerned, I might as well be her actual brother. He and I shared a face." That he looks exactly like Max is only one of the many reasons, though. He loves Lucy, but their relationship is vastly different from anything he's had with anyone else, except possibly Henrich. They have an understanding.
