Mathias laughs, unable to help himself, though it isn't unkind and as he heads for the door again, he gives Sookie's shoulder a light squeeze. "I think they used to be like that," he says, vague memories of train rides with his parents when he was small. He thinks he remembers the train rocking then, he and Henrich leaning comfortably in their seats, rocked into a state of comfort and near sleep. "But not anymore. They're fast now, very quiet. It's just easier to travel through Europe by train than almost any other way."
As he heads back outside, Hal glances up, then rests her nose on her paws again and Mathias says, "It's just very different, isn't it? The way people travel in our areas of the world."
