"Ja," Sookie replies, trying her best to mimic the accent, but even to her own ear the word sounds different, not nearly as elegant when slipping from her own lips. Plenty of people have commented on her own accent over the years, especially since her arrival on the island, but to Sookie, there's very little more attractive than accents more exotic than the subtle twang that Southerners get. Between all the people she knows on the island, Sookie now knows that a trip across Europe would be worth it for the accents alone, if nothing else.
"It's just somethin' that you don't have to think too much about. Your eyes focus on a place you wanna go, and then you just... drive," Sookie explains with a shrug. "You don't necessarily need a place you're getting to. You can just drive into the horizon and see what's around you along the way. Not that any of us are really heading someplace on the island either, but here we're kinda forced to run around in circles."
