"It does get darker. Light has a harder time filtering through the water, but we wouldn't be going down so far that it would make much of a difference," he tells her, glad that she's offering up information she's heard, asking whether or not it's true. It gives him hope that she'll be a quick study, that she'll enjoy it, maybe as much as he does.
He grins when she mentioned The Little Mermaid, trying to remember how old he'd been when that came out. When they were small, his mother had taken them to the movies only occasionally and he thinks Henrich threw a fit about having to see what he called 'a girl's movie'.
"Well, there are no singing crabs down there," he tells her. "I'm sorry to disappoint."
