"Only kind I have, apparently," Veronica said wryly. That wasn't true, strictly speaking, since it hadn't really been Duncan's fault or Leo's that things hadn't worked out, but there was no reason to spoil a punchline with the truth. Talk of monkeys was distraction enough for her, though, and she glanced around with a laugh. "There are definitely monkeys." She knew that firsthand, after the way Arya had made her catch them for training. It was a point of pride, but a slightly embarrassing one.
