Pretending to think about it, Mathias splashes his hands thoughtfully through the water. When he splatters Veronica a little bit, it's just a perk, of course, and he manages to stifle his grin.
"I suppose you're right," he agrees, splashing her again. "I am not much of a fighter, anyway. The only time I managed to get the best of Henrich was when I took him by surprise."
