"You think so?" Mathias asks, running a hand over his head, spraying water all over the place and making his hair stand on end. Tipping his head from side to side, he looks as if he's considering it, then nods. "I think you're right. We're about even for now."
The way he says for now, however, makes it clear that if she gives him the opportunity, it will be happening again.
