"I don't think you have to fight to survive to not be complacent," Mathias answers and he's leaning forward as well, fascinated both by Veronica and by the conversation itself. "I think you just have to continue to ask questions. There's no harm in being happy, but to stop asking? To stop being curious, to no longer care... that is where the danger lies."
