Mathias shakes his head and looks down at his hands for a moment before he holds them up for Henry to see the scars from the burns. "The vines did this," he explains slowly, knowing he needs to start at the beginning, but he isn't sure where the beginning even is.
"We all went on vacation and my brother went missing," he says. "I asked some of the Americans I had met there to help me find him and we ended up at this hill covered in these vines."
