It feels good, just hearing those words, but the hesitation concerns him a bit, even if he understands it's in Veronica's nature. There are parts of a person you just can't take out, he knows, and he wouldn't want to, even if he could, but he also wants her to not rush into any decision she isn't sure about.
"Take your time," he says again, then kisses her back, because he wants her to know that he means it. He isn't going anywhere, not by choice, and he has all the time in the world for her to make a decision.
