Danny scampers over to his side, closer, rubbing a hand over the midpoint of his back to try and soothe him, even though he's not sure he can do that when Mathias is in this kind of a state. "All I hear is you and me, Mattie-boy," he assures, hushing him softly. "It's you and me down a well and I think maybe you hurt yourself."
