If I can picture Eric Northman, this vampire I knew from home, getting joy out of the things that the island does, then I'm more tempted to think that it's just some kinda person trippin' over their power and keeping us here for the heck of it. Had very occasional moments where he was considerate, but most of the time he was just a grade A a-hole. And that's the thing, I could see so much of what goes on here as just being somebody's whim.
