"Huh," Mathias murmurs, thinking about what that would be like. He tries to imagine a world with multiple versions of his own face and can't help but smile a little, picturing an army of men who look exactly like him.

"For the most part, I would expect that one of us is more than enough," he says after he considers it. "And I suppose the fact that there are more than just pairs ruins the theory that we all have a twin somewhere in the world." He's never really believed that one, but in this case he thinks he could have been persuaded.
