For a moment, Mathias says nothing, just pauses with his mouth partly open. Then he smiles, his arms tightening around Veronica briefly and he nods. "You're right, that would make it easier," he agrees, then looks toward the hut. It looks good, he knows that, and he's proud of the work he's done, but even more now, it means something. It means moving forward with a life he was never supposed to have.

"And I think you and I could find time for extra tutoring sessions," he adds, looking back to Veronica, still smiling. "I don't think that would be a problem at all."
